Movie Review: The Hurt Locker (2008)

23 Mar

I never knew about The Hurt Locker until the Oscars, and thanks to Cinemagic for putting this movie in their screening schedule, I really enjoyed watching that movie, but I don’t think it was better than AVATAR or District 9 as “Best Picture of the Year”.

The movie revolves around an army bomb squad in Iraq, and it was interesting to see a picture where they speak Arabic well, except one soldier said “Ishmi Ishmi” instead of  “Imshi Imshi”.

It was interesting to see the daily life of the main character and the dangers that he is facing everyday, and many great actors that appears in the movie such as Ralph Fiennes and David Morse.

It might be boring at some parts of the movie, where they kept waiting many hours, and the scenes almost takes the amount of time that will gives you a feeling of the situation.

The ending is not predictable at all, I don’t want to spoil it because you have to enjoy this great movie, at the end it is a good movie but will never be the best.

I would give it 8 out of 10
