Is it too late to do a movie about 9/11. I am hardcore fan of Sharukh Khan movies, specially Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is one of my favorites, My Name Is Khan might be one of his worst movies. I might disagree with most of the people that liked that movie, the whole story does not make any sense at all. Being produced by Fox Pictures made the movie different from an ordinary Bollywood style movie.
I really was excited to watch Sharukh and Kajol together, this might be the only thing that I enjoyed in the movie. The movie starts with Sharukh talking about his childhood in India, and how he was suffering from his mental disease. After that he talks about Hindus and Islam conflict, yeah like we need to know that!!.
When he travels to USA and start his job through his brother company. People were friendly with him, even a Hindus Kajol was very nice with him, because he have a mental illness. I have seen a great movies that have done better story from that character, for example Rain Man by Dustin Hoffman. Shahrukh wasn’t that good actor in that role.
After 9/11, everything is changed, people start hitting muslim boys in schools, Hijab is taken from teachers heads. Yeah like didn’t knew about that either!!! they show the stupidity of Americans when Shahrukh yelled to the president “My Name Is Khan and I am not a terrorist”, People start running even the president runs, because they heard only the word terrorist. That was so lame scene.
Another lame scene when bully boys killed his son by kicking a soccer into his chest, Yeah I didn’t know that!!! punching him two times and the third one was using a ball. At that point, the story get to be in the most lame situation. like the black people village, and how the accepted him into the church and lived happy times, seriously what the hell was that.
By the end of the movie it reaches the climax of WTF scenes, I don’t want to spoil more from that crappy movie, I wished to have at least one good song, at least one dancing scene, it’s an indian movie for god sake. Go watch it, alot of people liked it, but I didn’t at all.
I would give it 6 out of 10
