Movie Review: Sherlock Holmes (2009)

17 Jan

Last week I went to watch Sherlock Holmes, the movie included two good actors that I like their acting, Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, so I expected to watch an entertaining good movie about solving mysteries and clues to get the evidence of english murder, it turned out the movie was a pure action comedy.

Holmes character in that movie was not that I expected at all, I didn’t know that he is a member of Fight Club, I knew he is smart and good observer for the details, still the smart theory was applied in the fighting scene that was one of the best scenes in the movie.

Jude Law or Watson, he was the sidekick, companion or Holmes buddy, even if he had a girlfriend, but it seemed like there was gay features appearing in that role, but somehow Jude law took the character to a next level.

Holmes in the movie was in love with the best thief in the world, I liked the flashbacks in the movie where they explain how the thing happened, and overall the movie message was so clear about how magic can manipulate our minds and control the people with many magical tricks.

I would give it 8 out of 10
